Deduction Settings

1.Go to System Settings > General Settings.

2.Under Deduction Settings, you have the following options:

i. No Deduction This option means you are not using the credit/package feature.

ii. Credit Deduction for Class

  • This option will only deduct credits for the class. Students can have negative balances, meaning they may owe credits.

Teachers/admins will receive a reminder when marking attendance for students with negative credits.

How it works if the parent repays: If a student’s credit balance is -20 and the parent tops up with 100, the credit will automatically become 80 after the top-up.

iii. Package Deduction for Class

  • This option will first deduct from the package sessions.

  • When the sessions are low, reminders will be sent to the parent’s app.

  • Once the sessions are exhausted, it will start deducting credits. If a student’s credit balance goes below 0, the same reminder as in Credit Deduction for Class will be triggered.

How it works if the session balance becomes negative: If a student’s session balance falls below 0, the system will start deducting credits. For example, if the class fee per session is RM 25, the student's credit balance will become -25. When the parent repurchases a new package with 12 sessions, the system will display the newly bought 12 sessions. However, the negative credit balance will remain. The parent will need to pay off the outstanding balance. The admin can either manually delete the negative credit balance or allow it to be paid off.

3.After selecting your preferred deduction setting, click Submit to save the changes.
